Faith in Action News…..The Windom Sharing Center continues to accept non-perishable food items, toiletries (not large sizes), personal care products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, paper products, seasonal (gently used) clothing, etc.  Donations may be placed on the cart in the lower narthex.  Monetary donations may be placed in Faith in Action envelopes on the cart or in the offering plate.  These funds are used to meet people’s needs.

VBS will be starting today and going through Wednesday, July 24th.  Supper at 5:15; VBS 6:00-8:30 p.m.  Closing Service will be held on July 24th from 8:00-8:30 p.m. To register, call the church office at 507-831-3522.

Reminder of the hygiene kit items that are needed for the Orphan Grain Train.  The Happy Quilters are collecting items through July 21st. A list of items needed and totes for the donations are located in the lower narthex.

Sponsorships are available and needed for the local Lutheran Hour.  The broadcast runs on Sunday mornings from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. on KDOM.  To sponsor a broadcast is $35.00.  Please see the sign-up sheet in the narthex.

United Community Action Partnership is holding a Back to School Back Pack Give-A-Way on August 13thPlease see the flyer posted for more details.  They are asking for donations of school supplies to fill the back packs.  A list of supplies needed is on the table in the lower narthex.  Please place your donations in the donation box located in the lower narthex.

Des Moines Valley Health & Human Services is holding a Coats for Kids Drive on August 13th.  This event will be held in conjunction with the Back to School Back Pack Give-A-Way.  Please place donations in the donation tub located in the lower narthex.

A Bridal Shower for Coretta Hedstrom will be held on July 31st at 6:30 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 87977 State Hwy 86, Lakefield.  This will be a card/money shower, as Coretta will be returning from Minnesota to India to be married in the fall.

Neil Soehren entered his eternal home on Sunday, July 14th.  Visitation and funeral service was held on Saturday, July 20th at Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Please continue to keep Neil’s family in your prayers.
