                        Alleluia Verse

Alleluia. The Lord builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Alleluia.           Ps. 147:2-3

KDOM Broadcast today...Is sponsored by the Woizeschke Family in memory of parents; Ernest & Emma, sisters; Gertie, Margaret, Wanda, Renata & brother Paul.

Stewardship…. Matthew 15:27  “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” These are the words of faith, for faith means receiving what God gives. And God has given us so much more than just the crumbs that fall from the table – He has given us life, salvation, body and soul, eyes and ears, possessions and income. That’s where our stewardship starts: with faith in the God who is the greatest Giver.

Lutherans for Life … Our words of respect and works of protection even for disregarded lives (Isaiah 56:6, Matthew 15:27) often appear to crumble under the force of popular opinion. Nevertheless, our Lord, the Father Almighty, attends to these prayers and effects life-giving mercy through them (Matthew 15:28; Romans 11:15, 29-32). Son of David and Son of God, gather us and all our fellow outcasts into Your holy house forevermore. Amen.

Food Shelf…The Cottonwood County Food Shelf is in need of food.  During the busy summer months we all forget about donating to the food shelf. Any non-perishable food items will be accepted. They are open Tuesday & Wednesday or you may bring the items to the church.

LABELS, LABELS, LABELS…. Thank you all who have saved their Hy-Vee and Country Fare. Keep them coming. The label cutters, however, ask that you bring in the whole label and leave the cutting up to them. There have been some changes in what we need to save and we have had to throw away a number of the labels because they did not meet the rules. Thanks for your cooperation.

Reminder…for when a friend or family member goes into the hospital. Please call the church office. The hospital does not call the church (except in extreme situations). Please let the Pastor know also of upcoming surgeries, or hospital stays.
